Jenny Miracle-Turner was elected President of the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Department of Ohio in June 2023. Jenny is a life member of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, Findlay, Ohio #21 where she held the position of Local President for several years. Jenny has also held several positions at the Department level including Sergeant At Arms, PRO/Historian, Americanism, Third Vice President, Second Vice President and First Vice President.
Jenny contributes her interest and passion in the AMVETS and working with veterans to her father, Bob Driftmyer, who is a US Marine. She initially joined the Ladies Auxiliary to help at Post 21 while her Dad was Commander there, but quickly became as passionate about helping and honoring our American heroes as he is.
Jenny has been with her husband, Brett, for 24 years and they have two wonderful children, Dylan and CJ, who were both very involved in the Junior AMVETS. Jenny and her husband own their own taxi company in Findlay, T & H Lift, which they opened in March 2021. Any free time is spent entertaining the dogs, crafting, shooting pool and spending time with family and friends.
Jenny has chosen “Not all wounds are visible” as her theme and she has chosen two (2) organizations as her projects during her year as President: 1 is Too Many (www.1istoomany.com) and Silent Watch (www.silentwatch.org). Both of these great organizations work hard to bring the number of veteran suicides down to zero. Silent Watch also helps to raise funds to help veterans and first responders with PTSD get a Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) which is a procedure that will help diminish the affects of PTSD by making life more bearable. Both of these organizations are amazing and Jenny appreciates any and all support that members of the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary offers.
Jenny is excited to be serving as your Department President and wants everyone to know that she is here to help.
